Several years ago, when I was visiting my family in Maine, the State enacted a ban on single use plastic bags. My family and I also love animals. On recent television shows, I noticed a theme of countries having to clean up waterways and beaches due to plastics, and that the breakdown of plastics, called microplastics, causes cataracts in sea lions. This inspired me to reduce my families carbon footprint. For every tote sold, Brooke's Crochet Crafts will donate money to help fund ocean clean up.
